How much do sessions cost?

Our fees vary based on the experience and professional level of each counselor. For specific fees please contact us. You will pay for services at the time of your appointment. We will provide you with a bill containing all pertinent codes so that you may submit it to your insurance provider in hopes you will receive full or partial reimbursement.

If you are planning to submit our services to your insurance company, you may want to contact them and discuss your “out of network” benefits. This may assist you in receiving reimbursement from your insurance company in a more prompt manner.

How many sessions will I need?

Hope Hill counselors determine the number of sessions according to your individual needs. Your counselor will work with you to determine the number of sessions recommended, although your total investment is often not known at the onset of counseling.

Do you take insurance?

We participate in a number of insurance networks, please ask your counselor for details. For out of network clients, we do not bill insurance directly but after paying for services at the time of your appointment, we will provide you with a bill containing all pertinent codes so that you may submit it to your insurance provider. If you do submit them to your provider, you may want to contact them and discuss the out of network benefits. This may assist you in receiving a reimbursement in a more prompt manner.

Do you offer childcare?

Unfortunately we are not able to provide childcare. While we love to see their little faces, it can be distracting for children to be in a counseling session with you, and we want you to be able to get the most out of the experience. Please find childcare for your children before you come in for your appointment.

Can I see someone immediately?
If you are unable to reach your counselor in a timely manner, you should contact a physician, a local emergency room or the local police department when necessary and appropriate by dialing 911.
What is a LPC?
A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is an individual who has satisfied all the state requirements for licensure (i.e., supervised counseling experience, passing a state licensing exam). These individuals are called to abide by ethical standards deemed appropriate by the licensing boards.
How long do sessions last?

Typically, counseling visits are offered in 50-minute sessions. Sometimes counselors will suggest longer sessions if they feel it will help progress.

Do I have to be a member of a church?

No, it is our joy to serve Northern Virginia and individuals, couples, and families regionally. We have some partner churches that we work more closely with but we welcome all people.

Are your counselors licensed?

All of the counselors at the Hope Hill Counseling Center are …

  • Licensed professional counselors (LPC), licensed by the state to practice as professionals.
  • LPC interns who have earned a Masters degree from an accredited university, and are now working towards licensure by completing the required 3,000 hours of supervised practice.
  • Practicum students currently enrolled in a counseling program, and are earning the required counseling hours needed for the completion of their degree.
  • Trained Biblical counselors with experience in vocational counseling
What forms of payment do you take?

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Credit Card
What is your cancellation policy?

If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not given 24 hours notice in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
